We collect: (a) Account information — email, username, and platform identifiers you provide on registration. (b) Game data — game usernames, match results, and challenge history. (c) Financial data — wallet transaction amounts and on-chain deposit verifications. We do NOT store card numbers or private keys. (d) Usage data — pages visited, challenge activity, IP address for fraud/collusion detection.
We use your data to: operate the platform and manage your account; process and verify challenge results; calculate and distribute wagered funds; detect fraud, collusion, and multi-accounting; send transactional emails (challenge accepted, dispute raised, result submitted); comply with legal obligations including anti-money laundering (AML) requirements.
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with: Supabase (database and authentication hosting); Resend (transactional email); blockchain networks (Solana, Base, Polygon, HyperEVM) for deposit verification only — no personal data is transmitted; game API providers (Chess.com, Lichess, Supercell, Steam) solely for match result verification; law enforcement when legally required.
We collect IP addresses and device fingerprints for collusion detection and multi-accounting prevention. This data is stored securely and never sold. Users flagged by our collusion detection system may have their account reviewed by our trust & safety team.
We retain account data for 7 years after account closure (required for financial compliance). Match history and transaction logs are stored for a minimum of 5 years. You may request deletion of non-financial data by contacting privacy@betskillz.com.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion (subject to legal retention requirements); object to processing; data portability. To exercise any right, email privacy@betskillz.com. We will respond within 30 days.
We use essential cookies for authentication (session management via Supabase). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can clear cookies via your browser settings, but this will log you out of BetSkillz.
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest. We implement row-level security on our Supabase database, ensuring users can only access their own data. We conduct regular security reviews and respond to responsible disclosure reports at security@betskillz.com.
